Product Description

Calera farm belongs to seven brothers, of whom the oldest, Samuel Valiente, manages the coffee production. Calera is planted mostly with bourbon, pacamara, and Kenya varietals. The coffee trees thrive among tall pine tree forest and the farm is blessed with a specific cool climate providing optimal conditions for coffee production. Calera extends through a complete mountain facing Trifinio biosphere reserve where El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras meet their border. Calera is a true ecological sanctuary for preserving biodiversity, and it is estimated that close to 300 bird species live here. During the picking season Calera provides work for as many as 200 locals with fair wages and benefits.

This is a washed processed coffee. After the harvest, the outer skin and fruit flesh are washed away. The coffee is then spread on the patios where they dry quickly in about 10 days.

One of my favorite Firebat coffees! An amazing smell goes out when you open the bag and the taste is a perfect combination of strength and sweetness.

What a lovely mild and tasty coffee. Traditionally we drink darker roasted coffee but this was a nice change. It’s mild but flavour, the smell alone is inviting, very aromatic. Theven Firebat Brand should become a staple of many homes & coffee businesses in my personal opinion. Kudos!

Fantastic coffee! The aroma of the beans present at opening is also hinted every time we taste this cold brew out of the fridge (our favorite use of this coffee is a 24 hr steeped cold brew). Highly recommended!!!!
